How to Enter into and Resolve Conflict in a Healthy Way

Published on: 15th November, 2021

Let’s talk about building a conflict resilient team. How difficult is it for you to resolve conflict? It doesn’t matter if the conflict is at home or in the workplace, it can be very difficult to enter into that and come to a resolution that is restorative. Most of the time confrontation takes on a combative feel and tone that puts one side on the defensive, which only leads to counterattacks. That isn’t helpful. I have seen unhealthy conflict resolution far more than I have seen it done in a healthy way.

This goes back to motivation. Do you want to be right? Or do you want to move beyond the contention, grow, and maintain the relationship?

That means you have to understand why conflict resolution is important? Then, how to walk through it in a healthy manner. That is the real goal of this episode, to give you the tools to enter into and resolve conflict where the outcome is maintained relationships.
